I'll through in some post-modernist thought with Walter Benjamin, who believed that as art became a product of mass reproduction, it lost its original meaning and "aura". Viewing Munch's "The Scream" in a gallery is different that buying a postcard of the same painting, which is different than seeing the movie "Scream", which is different than watching "Scary Movie". Thus, each poetic phrase loses some sort of "power" with each reproduction of the phrase, perhaps going as far as the "cursive flocks" fiasco on the old archive, a move to actually "kill" the said phrase.

However, it is just a 2:00 A.M. rambling, so just treat the words above as that.
