This program is interesting and worth the while, but I think that the evolution of better poems is troubled by one thing: poem sizes. I've seen these poems range from really really short, for example three words, and really long poems over half a dozen lines of words. I think you should put them into different classes to evolve seperatly, as in the natural world where animals and organisms evolve in certain groups (such as mammals and reptiles). They should be put into at least three classes reffering to size, such as small, medium, and large. This will make the poems less likely to have unusual mutations and we'll get to choose what size of poem we want to see.
