As I'm sure everyone has noticed, there are a lot of common, recognizable "genes" floating around out there. I was wondering which ones people liked, and which ones are just terrible. Me, I vote against pretty much anything containing "in blood" or (especially) "shields in blood." Not terribly fond of "one wept" or "defend dejectedly" either.
On the other hand, I rather like "old but of simplistic precepts" and "ships in cursive flocks." And, of course, I vote for anything that has "crimson prong" in it.
Thoughts?
