It occurs to me that a line break fulfills the role of junk DNA as it contributes no meaning to the poem but bulks out the code, thus protecting the meaningful segments from being disrupted by variation. I expect we will see a gradual evolution towards poems which contain this trait as people ignore the blank space and vote for the words they see. Case in point is this one:
